The TRIO Student Support Services Program (“TRIO”) at Westfield State University seeks highly qualified applicants for a part-time Science Tutor position to begin in early September, 2021 (start of the fall semester). The candidate will be able to demonstrate academic competency in a science field as well as evidence of ability to tutor college students. Expertise in Biology and Chemistry is preferred.
Ability to tutor in other science-related areas, such as Movement Science, Earth and Environmental Sciences, and Health Sciences, is a plus. The Science Tutor should be comfortable helping students understand assignments and integrate best practices for study techniques and academic skills.
Pre-K - 12 teachers in Massachusetts are encouraged to apply for a STEM Teacher-in-residence Externship offered through the Cape Cod Regional STEM Network.
You will be paired with a marine science or technology host institution in your region. The program lasts 2 weeks and features a $1000 stipend for you and a $500 stipend for a class field trip.
