Massachusetts Science and Engineering Fair Information Session June 15
For more than 70 years we have run the Massachusetts Science & Engineering Fair for middle and high school students. MSEF prepares and supports teachers to implement strong student-led research projects. This involves:
-
Training & materials
-
Support through mentors & volunteers
-
Opportunities for awards & recognition
-
Connections to industry & universities
-
Fair structure management
We think of the science & engineer fair as a process, not just an event.
The experience allows students to see what’s possible in STEM investigations and to be their own guides in what they pursue. ‘Science Fair’ projects provide hands-on approaches to personalized learning that offer youth unique experiences in doing real-world research and encouraging innovation. These programs culminate, for many, in school, regional and statewide events that provide an opportunity to showcase work and through which students receive feedback from industry professionals.
Join us for an information session to learn more!
In these sessions we will:
-
Share the essential elements of the Science Fair Project and Process
-
Explore existing STEM programs that can be made ‘Science Fair Ready’
-
Identify and address reservations about implementation to help you say ‘yes!’ to science fair
