Last year, the Pioneer Valley STEM Network supported events across western Mass, bringing STEM enrichment to elementary, middle, high school, and college students. At the Mass Makes Innovation Challenge at the Basketball Hall of Fame (2023-2025), three hundred high school students engaged in fun, interactive engineering challenges led by Mass Tech and a team of STEM professionals and faculty. At the Florence Farmer’s Market, PVSTEM helped support the Community Classroom to bring free books and STEM activities for kids in a fun, Halloween-themed event!

At Talmadge, Brightwood, and Boland School, PVSTEM supported in-class enrichment hosted by Mad Science. And on the Westfield State campus, we hosted Highland elementary for a day of STEM activities ("See yourself in STEM") hosted by WSU faculty and students (2023-2025). We also hosted a guest speaker, Vanessa Melanson PhD, M(ASCP), to talk to us about Superbugs and Sequencing (October 2025).
